The Song Of Heroes Part I: The Scorn Of Loki

‘To the gods of Asgard we looked for refuge
As a helpless babe seeks his mothers loving arms,
But none came to us in our most dire of needs.
If only they would have intervened,
Our bodies would not now be hollow shells decaying in the earth,
Our spirits would not be wandering aimlessly without an end in sight,
Our blood would not be crying out from the earth,
For a leader, someone who has the power to unite all mankind
And rid us of the evils and hardships that plague us.’”

Beyond Horizon IX: The Galactic Misfortune

“What the hell just happened? Zeta, do you come in, answer me!” Recknem screamed over the intercom. There was no reply. An evil laughter rang through the darkness of space. A wretched laugh it was, sounded with the voice of a thousand whispers. It echoed through the ocean of stars. Zarn had its revenge! In a glass dome atop a tower on the moon’s research lab, perched a dark figure glowing bright lidless blue eyes, and horned. Seeing this, Recknem delt a shiver down his spine. “Klanferos, I have to save him!”

Beyond Horizon VIII: In The Wake Of The Enemy

“Their eyes burn white flames of hate. Their masking helmets edify demonic visages, despite that the wearers are Zarnik humans.” Klanferos peered out into the dark and mysterious field. “ Their helmets and head dresses were very elaborate; the average Wraith trooper’s head dress would be diamond shaped on the cap and skull shaped on the face plate adorned by tall golden horns. They wield a great range of weaponry. Plasma swords, electro-lances, laser guns, laser beam swords, concussion rifles, heavy weapons, and hell-spawn flame-throwers. Their onyx chest plates are ‘M’ shaped, their shoulder pauldrons are diamond shaped, and their gauntlets are spiked as are their wired shin-guards. Higher ranked have more elaborate head dressings, some capes or ornate armors. They could be called Satanic for their culture. Ah but the Prince of Darkness is all too clever. Forwards is backwards, up is upside-down, out is in and in is out, and evil is so damned good!”

They were lead to the barracks of the marine corps for initiation. There was no ceremony held, nothing dramatic, in fact it seemed to be kept quiet that there were new recruits walking among those of the EDU armed forces. This in fact was nothing like Klanferos’s initiation into the Avacasti knighthood. There were no ornate armors, swords and medals bestowed upon anyone, in fact the only thing bestowed would be a swift kick in the ass from the drill sergeant. In the dead of the night Recknem left Klanferos, Alan, and Motonall, and two others before the barracks entrance. A pair of doors slid open, and out came the drill sergeant, at that moment immediately demanding the gentlemen to drop and give him fifty, and fifty as in fifty pushups. “Muscle-makers” Klanferos would call them. For many it was tough as it was for Klanferos, to deal with merciless brutality. Many would cry and wither away from the core, whereas Klanferos was patient, believing that the sergeant’s vigorous treatment was for his benefit. They were there only to help.

Beyond Horizon VI: The Earth Defence

“Aside from the fact that my whole troop close-fated with death by the claws of a dozen venomous Zathrakien Ion-Crabs, it went fairly well. We have abducted Supreme General Hukoth of Zarn. Who now stands in detention on the Star Spire until he is willing to exploit the plot of the CAZ.” Recknem proudly reported. Meanwhile, Alan cleared his throat. “Oh, pardon my ill-manners! This fine young man is Alan Littokee of The United States…”
