Alternative-Internet.comBecause on the internet, no one can hear you scream.

finally, it's time to rock and roll

By Patrick J. B. Simmons

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I proudly present to you an update roughly four months in the making (I’ve been working on it since Duke Nukem died back in May): the brand new Alternative-Internet.com main page – complete with better organization, more information, and a vastly improved look and feel. Formerly the main page was but four blocks of text broken up rather uninspiringly by horizontal lines, but after a lot of tweaking and experimentation, it now features a whopping six blocks all filled (or waiting to be filled) with really great stuff.

To kick off that “really great stuff,” Quezon has completed a brand new addition to the Adventures of Barg series – Barg the Rocker – it’s the first Barg in a little over a year, and it does not disappoint. Featuring the full cast of favourites – Barg, Joe, Tina, and Marvin – it’s sure to rock your socks off! (Pun intended.)

Now it’s time for the apology – designing this new main page did NOT take four months – it took about two days. I’d like to tell you all I’ve been busy, or ran in to trouble, but I didn’t. Mostly, I was just lazy and uninspired. I’m not going to blather on with excuses about it, or about Alternative-Internet.com’s lack of major activity for the past year or so, I’m just going to be blunt: everyone else on AI staff worked hard, and it was all my fault, so there. It won’t happen again – you’ve got my word.

Awesome art on the page! Who made it?

(Remember, if you would like me to make some front-page art in future, go ahead and ask me.)

Also, do you know what the “intentionally left blank” box will have in it yet, or are you still deciding that?

There are other things I’d like to ask about, but I should probably ask them directly, because there are a number of things.
